Municipal Law

Cable Huston’s attorneys act as general counsel for local governments (counties, cities, and special purpose districts). We provide advice on property issues (including negotiation, acquisition, and condemnation), insurance coverage and defense, public contracting, public meetings, public records, finance, system development charges, utility ratemaking, construction litigation, telecommunications, energy, government ethics for public officials, and other matters associated with conducting government affairs.

We negotiate joint project agreements between government agencies for specific projects, such as dams, water treatment plants, wastewater treatment plants, electric generation facilities, wind projects, telecommunications systems, water, wastewater, and electricity distribution through pipelines and above-ground transmission facilities.
