Cable Huston has assisted with the permitting of a large regional solid waste landfill managing waste from the Seattle, Washington and Portland, Oregon metropolitan areas.  We have also assisted with obtaining the necessary permits over the last twenty plus years for the only hazardous waste treatment, storage and disposal facility in the Pacific Northwest.  Our work has included, for example, working with Oregon agencies to amend rules that were having unintended consequences on waste management companies.  We also have helped draft legislation streamlining the management of waste.  Finally, as the need has arisen, we have represented waste management companies in complex litigation regarding their operations.
